I was wondering if any have had an issue on full throttle upshift being slow and sort of staged ( starts to shift but then feels like torque converter lockup half way thru) with a Sct tuner running 5 star tune? Could it be the tune ?

    Maybe,
but with high torque and rapid on set of power our trucks have, I have found it may be Trac 2 related. If it occurs under hard acceleration it may be loss of traction. I have had Traction control cut power and almost create a studder situation. Try turning off Traction control I know that it fixes my issues.

Best bet is to log the situation and communicate with your tuner.
