I have a 2011 SCREW Ecoboost. Awhile ago I believe I read something regarding some of the tunes having the ability to change characteristics of the tune using the Tow button. Can anyone point me to where I can read up on these options?

I know what you are talking about.

MPT's old style of tunes (the performance race and performance street) used to have the ability to enable a more economic shift schedule when the Tow Haul button was pressed. This is no longer available, as they have moved to a new upgraded tune set (the PRX set).

You can accomplish practically the same thing by altering your driving style. I’m running the 93 PRX tune in my 14 F150 and the shirts are hard and fast when I’ve got my foot hard on the accelerator but more subdued when I’m easy on the pedal. But believe me, the 93 prx tune has made driving my truck so much fun, I’m on it as much as conditions will allow.

I definitely can baby the truck into good gas mileage and will probably try the PRX as my daily driver but I'll probably get one of the chill tunes also if nothing else more for when the wife drives it.

MPT doesn't offer a chill tune anymore, so I would suggest getting a Performance Tow tune, should you want something less aggressive than the PRX.

Is there a list of the current tunes available. I tried going to their site and looking at the tune order form but it doesn't appear that you can get to the tune options until you are ready to submit and have already ordered.

    Im looking at

    PRX 93

    Perf tow 93 & 87

    Perf econ 93 & 87

Yeah I've been back and forth on getting the 5 tune package. Also on the fence about getting the meth kit.

With F150's, getting 5 tunes isn't a bad idea. It is best to cover all of your bases to make sure you aren't in a situation where you don't have a tune. Once you get an MPT Tune, stock feels like you're in hell. lol

Yeah that's my main reason for toying with the 5 tune option.

Im new here but I’m very interested in tune for my 2018 raptor. I have been contact with MPT already. They seem very knowledgeable and helpful. I haven’t read anything bad about them. I’m just on the fence because I’m a dealership service guy and had bad experience with a previous tune in the past. Any input would be appreciated.

What happened before? You don't have to tell us who you were tuned by, if you don't want to.

My previous tune had very hard shifts with little power gains. Honestly didn’t like it bad experience. I’m looking for a better overall driving experience. The raptor has some much potential and I read MPT is the best tuning company around.

I also read the PX-R tune with the ngauge can be tuned so the shifts are like stock with smoother shifts. I want more power but still want a smooth shifts. It seems MPT can accomplish this which is what I’m looking. Just want to hear a little more about this before I pull the trigger.
