    Low And/Or No Oil Pressure Indication With DTC P0521, P0522, P0523 And/Or P0524 – 2016-2017 Ford F-150
oemdtc April 24, 2017 Diagnostic Tips

    2016-2017 F-150 – 3.5L GTDI/5.0L Engine – Low And/Or No Oil Pressure Indication With DTC P0521, P0522, P0523 And/Or P0524

Some 2016-2017 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L gasoline turbocharged direct injection (GTDI) or 5.0L engine may experience low or no oil pressure indication on the oil pressure gauge with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0521, P0522, P0523 and/or P0524 stored in the powertrain control module(PCM) memory.

This may be due to liquid contamination inside the engine oil pressure sensor connector.

If evidence of liquid contamination is found, replace the oil pressure sensor.

Inspect the connector seals on C1657 of the 12C508 engine harness for damage and repair as necessary.

Do NOT use di-electric grease in the sensor electrical connector.
